TOM UPDATE: Logan Tom (Salt Lake City, Utah), a three-time U.S. Olympian and Best Scorer of the 2008 Olympic Games, is playing with Hisamitsu Springs in the Japanese V-League. She aided her Japanese team to two victories this past weekend. Tom scored 20 points in a 25-15, 21-25, 28-26, 17-25, 15-10 victory over Okayama on Feb. 21. During the match, she tallied 17 kills, one block and two aces while recording an 83.3 percent on serve receive. One day later, Tom scored 16 kills, two blocks and three aces for 21 points in a 25-21, 27-25, 21-25, 25-17 victory over Toyota. Hisamitsu Springs is currently fourth in the league standings and will play the league’s bottom two opponents next weekend: Hitachi (0-21) on Feb. 28 and JT (8-13) on March 1.
